Finidi expressed his disappointment with the way Iheanacho has been treated since joining Sevilla in the summer on a free transfer after leaving Leicester City.

While compatriot Chidera Ejuke-another summer arrival on a free transfer-has quickly adapted and become a fan favorite at Sevilla, Iheanacho has struggled to earn a place in the managers plans.

The former Manchester City striker has managed just three goals in 11 appearances across all competitions, all of which came in two Copa del Rey matches - the only games in which he has played the full 90 minutes since his arrival.

In La Liga, Kelechi Iheanacho has been restricted to 401 minutes across nine games, with only five starts to his name.
