The Ancs 113th Birthday Celebrations Kicks Off On Robben Island

ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa will today visit Robben Island to kick off the partys 113th birthday celebrations.

The party says the aim of Ramaphosas visit to the island is to honour freedom fighters who were incarcerated for their resilience and sacrifice.

He will then attend the partys main celebration of the day, the cake-cutting ceremony, at the Athlone Civic Centre in Cape Town.

The ANC has week-long events in the run-up to its January 8th statement commemoration on Saturday, in Khayelitsha on the Cape Flats.
