Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Nathan Tella has expressed his frustration at the lack of minutes hes received this season with the Bundesliga champions.
The Nigeria international enjoyed a productive debut campaign in Germany following his arrival from Southampton in August 2023, scoring five goals in 24 outings to help Die Werkself win their maiden league title.
Tella was hoping to play a bigger role for Xabi Alonsos side in 2024-25, but hes made just one start and two substitute appearances thus far, with Jeremie Frimpong being preferred on the right flank.
The 25-year-old has been given hope though, after having a chat with Alonso, who urged the Arsenal youth product to be patient as his chance will come.
