Five alleged gang members who were seen in a video randomly firing gunshots into the air at the KwaMashu hostel in Durban are expected to appear in the Ntuzuma Magistrates Court today.
The video went viral on social media.
The suspects were arrested last week when police responded to reports of an active armed robbery.
Three firearms and a hijacked vehicle were found in the suspects possession.
The suspects who are aged between 24 and and 43 are linked to a series of murders, hijackings and robberies in the greater Durban area.
