Suspected Fraudster Arrested With Stolen Bank Cards And Cash In Parow

In a significant development that highlights ongoing efforts to combat fraud and criminal activity in Cape Town, a suspect was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning in Parow.
Traffic officers conducting patrols on Voortrekker Road made the discovery that would lead to the arrest of a man armed with a trove of illicit belongings, reports Cape town Etc .
At approximately 2am on Sunday, officers spotted a vehicle lacking number plates and promptly stopped it. Upon inspection, they found the driver in possession of a fraudulent driving licence, which ultimately led to his detention.
However, the real shock came when officers discovered a black bag on the passenger seat containing an astonishing 37 stolen bank cards, 17 cellphones, and more than R17 000 in cash.
The suspect has since been charged with fraud and the possession of stolen goods, with the vehicle also impounded.
