Suspect Arrested After Bodies Of Two Women Found Dumped In De Deur

One person has been arrested and three others have been taken in for questioning after the bodies of two women were found in De Deur, south of Johannesburg.

The bodies were found at an opencast mine.

Police say the women were kidnapped during a house robbery in Kliprivier on Friday night last week.

Gauteng police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo says a murder case has been opened.

One suspect was arrested after he was found in possession of some of the items that were taken during the house robbery. He appeared before the Vereeniging Magistrates Court on Monday, 28 October 2024, says Masondo.
