Samuel Chukwueze got a surprise start on Saturday in Milans game against Udinese at the Giuseppe Meazza. Recall that Chukwueze has not been entirely impressive at Milan, causing doubts about his future at the club.
However, the Nigerian forward gave his doubters something to think about as he scored early on. AC Milan showed great team, getting the ball from defense to attack, with Christian Pulisic making a great run from the left flank. He then cut in and sent a nice pass to Chukwueze, who was lurking on the edge of the box. The Nigerian made no mistake, as he sent a precise finish into the net.
The Rossoneri were clearly the better side and looked set for the win. But unfortunately for them, Tijjani Reijnders got sent off in the 29th minute. From then, AC Milan lost steam allowing Udinese to gain some momentum.
However, they were unable to score. Chukwueze had a well rounded performance. He did well defensively and looked very lively when he got chances to push forward. It eventually ended 1-0 to Milan, and Chukwueze was named the man of the match.
