Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers scored a stoppage-time equalizer for Rangers to help them to a 1-1 draw at Dynamo Kyiv, Soccernet.ng reports.
Rangers traveled to Poland to take on Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifiers.
The Ukrainian side had to play outside their country because of the Russo-Ukranian war, and that gave Rangers a slight advantage.
Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers was named in the starting lineup as the focal point of the Gers attack alongside Tom Lawrence. Super Eagles center back Leon Balogun also started for the Gers.
The first half was quite balanced, but Rangers failed to create enough chances. Dynamo Kyiv on the other hand, looked dangerous in the final third, and it took them all of 38 minutes to break the deadlock courtesy of Andriy Yarmolenko.
