Sun's Out, Bikes Out: Expect Road Closures For Cape Town Cycle Tour 2025
In its 47th year, the iconic Cape Town Cycle Tour remains a standout event on the Mother Citys events calendar, drawing approximately 30 000 riders each year.
Beyond the thrill of the ride, the highly-anticipated annual event serves a greater purpose by supporting two key causes - the Pedal Power Association and the Rotary Club of Claremont.
Funds raised go towards social upliftment projects and promoting cycling and safety initiatives.
The 109km classic route, renowned as one of the worlds most scenic mass-start bike races, winds through the citys picturesque landscapes, starting at Table Mountain and concluding along the Atlantic Seaboard in Green Point.
Since 2023, a 42km route has been added to the festivities, inviting a broader range of cyclists to Africas largest cycling celebration.
