Sudan Conflict Fuelled By Forces Outside Africa Guterres
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres says the conflict in Sudan is fuelled by other forces outside the continent.
He says other countries supply weapons to warring factions and this has caused many problems for Sudan.
In an exclusive interview with the SABC News , Guterres says the UN is working hard to achieve the silencing of guns on the African continent.
Look what is happening in Sudan, they are just fighting each other, and nothing happens in Sudan. And you have other countries supporting them and giving them weapons. There is this mixture of internal problems and external problems. This the difficult moment where we see the lack of accountability.
Meanwhile, Guterres says multilateral organisations are weak and cannot guarantee global peace.
