Students Urged To Apply For Nsfas Before December 15 Deadline

Higher Education and Training Deputy Minister Buti Manamela says students who want to apply for funding from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme NSFAS, should do so before the December 15 deadline.

Manamela says the closing date for the applications will not be extended .

He says much effort has been put into providing information for potential beneficiaries.

Manamela was out in Pimville, Soweto to encourage those who want to apply .

The idea is to bring awareness, and we have had a huge response. Already more than 60 of the applications of new students who want to study in the new year, have already been granted. I must say that there will not be any extension beyond the 15th of December, because we believe that weve done a lot of work in bringing awareness, he adds.
