Struggle Veteran Major-general Keith Mokoape To Be Laid To Rest

Struggle veteran Major-General Keith Mokoape will be buried in Midrand, Johannesburg today.

The former ANC armed wings uMkhonto we Sizwe MK intelligence chief died last weekend.

Major-General Mokoape led MK major operations across southern Africa, serving in leadership positions in Botswana, Mozambique and Swaziland.

In 2018, Major-General Mokoape was conferred with the Order of Luthuli in silver for his selfless service during the liberation struggle.

Deputy President Paul Mashatile says he died at a time when the ANC was tapping into the wisdom of struggle veterans for its renewal efforts.
