South African real estate tycoon, Stephen Brookes, has witnessed a significant increase in the market value of his stake, propelled by a recent rally in the shares of Balwin Properties on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange JSE.
Brookes, the founder of Balwin Properties, holds a controlling 33.07-percent stake in the company, translating to 171,751,457 ordinary shares. Over the past 28 days, this stake has surged by R44.66 million 2.53 million, boosting his stake above 20 million.
This follows a previous gain of 2.3 million recorded between Sep. 20 and Oct. 1 , during which his holdings surged from R332.23 million 19.27 to R371.42 million 21.55 million.
