Stellenbosch To Host Harvest Parade Amid Promising Vintage Forecast

The Stellenbosch Harvest Parade returns on February 1 to celebrate the start of the grape harvesting season. This tradition, which dates back nearly half a century, will again bring the local community together in a procession honouring the regions wine heritage and agricultural workers.

The parade will follow its traditional route from Market Street and wind through the streets of Stellenbosch. The celebration will culminate at the Stellenbosch Town Hall where a short ceremony will include blessing of the harvest and expression of gratitude to the agricultural workers who are integral to the success of the local wine industry.
