South Africas 200m sprinter Luxolo Adams is considering taking legal action against Athletics South Africa. This after Adams failed to make the athletics team selection panel for the edition of the 2024 Olympics in Paris which starts on Friday.
The South Africas athletics mother body opted for 400 metres World record holder Wayde Van Niekerk, to be part of team South Africa.
Adams missed two crucial races this year. He says no proper consultation was done with him before the final team selection.
I am considering taking them to court because, I dont know how that decision came about, its heartbreaking, its every childs dream to compete in the Olympics. I made the qualifying time, I did compete last year on numerous occasions.
Meanwhile, Athletics South Africa says there are internal structures that are open to all athletes.
