The now seven-year-old has began attending school and is doing incredibly well, the boy is even in preparations to star in his first school concert.
In 2018, Abdul fell into the pool at their family home in Parow which resulted in him entering a vegetative state after he suffered from partial brain damage.
Doctors were convinced that he would not survive the ordeal.
Despite their worst fears, next month Abdul will celebrate his eighth birthday.
