Newly promoted English Premier League side, Southampton have launched an official bid for Super Eagles and Fenerbahce full-back, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 26-year-old versatile defender was an integral part of the Yellow and Blacks incredible journey as they narrowly missed out on the Turkish Super Lig title last season. He played 23 games, scored four goals and provided two assists.
His impressive performances in the just-concluded season has seen him linked with a move abroad with Leeds United, Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Southampton who are all keen on his services.
As per the Turkish outlet, AS Marca , The Saints have made a bid in the region of £6.5m to the Turkish club as they look to tempt Osayi with a return to England.
However they face huge competition, as the prospect of playing under the new manager, Jose Mourinho excites the former Queens Park Rangers defender.
