As South Africas high season draws near, tourism officials on KwaZulu-Natals South Coast have reminded holiday-goers to support the regions Buy Local campaign.

The campaign serves as a platform to promote the regions SMMEs and encourage both residents and visitors to sources goods and services from local enterprises.

We encourage our visitors and residents to consider buying locally manufactured gifts, or to rely on local services this festive season. Our local offerings are not only top quality, but this support ensures that local businesses and families will continue to prosper going into 2025, said Vusumuzi Sibiya , CEO of the South Coast Tourism Investment Enterprise SCTIE.

The South Coast covers 500km of coastline south of Durban, from the town of eManzimtoti down to Port Alfred.

Stimulate local business over busy high season

Following Novembers announcement that the KZN South Coast had again been awarded the highest number of Blue Flag beaches in the province a total of seven, SCTIE expects a bumper holiday season.
