South Africans Should Unite Amid Global Tensions: Ramaphosa
President Cyril Ramaphosa has highlighted the importance of uniting as a country amid global tensions.
Replying to political parties in Parliament after the State of the Nation Address SONA debate , he spoke on the importance of resolving the countrys internal issues instead of seeking help from foreign countries.
This is after advocacy group AfriForum approached the United States about the enactment of the Expropriation Act which saw aid to country being cut .
"We want to live together in peace, harmony and equality. We do want to see our country succeed and grow. We must not allow others to define us, but more importantly, to divide us. At a time like this, we need to stand united as a nation, particularly now when we are facing a harsh global wind. This is not the time for any of us to rush off to foreign lands to lay complaints about issues that we ourselves can solve here in this country."
Ramaphosa says there will never be forced removals in South Africa .
