The South African weather services has warned of disruptive snowfall in areas of the Western and Northern Cape.

As such, a level 4 warning for snow has been issued for Monday, 30 September Cape {town} Etc reports.

Disruptive snowfall is to be expected over the Cape Winelands, Central and Little Karoo mountains of the Western Cape.

The southern high ground of the Namakwa District will also be affected by the hazardous snowfall.

Closure of the Swartberg, Hex River, Ouberg and Katbakkies mountain passes are likely.
