sources reveal bounty worth r10 million placed on lifmans head

Alleged underworld businessman Mark Lifman was shot dead in George earlier this month, with recent court proceedings revealing that his murder may have been orchestrated for a R10 million bounty on his life, Cape town Etc reports.

Suspects Johann Jacobs and Gert Bezuidenhout appeared in the George Magistrates Court on 13 November, where details emerged of a six-month plot to kill Lifman, reportedly aimed at claiming the lucrative reward.

The two allegedly made repeated trips to the Garden Route, monitoring Lifmans movements, mapping escape routes and planning the execution down to the last detail.

Despite these meticulous preparations, Jacobs and Bezuidenhout were apprehended just hours after the shooting. Their bail hearings are set for 12 and 13 December, Daily Voice reported.

The bounty on Lifmans head reportedly followed an altercation earlier this year involving a high-profile businessman in Middelburg.
