Soft chocolate chip cookie recipes that dont require a special occasion. But when I have all my nieces and nephews around, it can get pretty hectic. There isnt a day that goes by without some wahala - yes, I start using African slang when its too much for me to handle.

As I count the days until we head back home, I think up all sorts of ways to keep these guys busy. Making a batch of cookies is loads of fun, and it keeps them quiet while happily munching on freshly baked goodies-at least for a few minutes.

Fortunately, they love baking all kinds of homemade treats, and these chocolate chip cookies are in their Top 5. They love measuring, pouring, mixing, and, of course, licking the bowl. Oh yes, I let them do it its their favorite part.
