Sixty60 To Launch At Shoprite After Winning Over Checkers Shoppers

The convenience of on-demand grocery delivery is set to become more widely accessible in South Africa as Sixty60, Shoprite's award-winning service, expands to selected Shoprite supermarkets across the country.

After a successful pilot phase in Gauteng and the Western Cape, Sixty60 will now be available in 19 Shoprite stores across eight provinces. The expansion will be rolled out in phases to ensure a seamless experience, maintaining the efficiency and excellence that have defined the service since its inception, the retailer said in a statement .

Sixty60 allows customers to conveniently order groceries online and have them delivered to their doorstep at in-store prices. The service will continue to uphold Shoprite's low-price promise while offering additional benefits, such as instant Xtra Savings rewards, both through the app and at the till.

Neil Schreuder, Chief of Strategy and Innovation at Shoprite Group, expressed excitement about the expansion, saying, After many months of working feverishly behind-the-scenes, we are excited to introduce Shoprite Sixty60 to locations where it can have a meaningful impact for consumers needing the convenience of home delivery, and where the logistics are in place to support a seamless experience.

Sixty60 is already operational in locations such as Shoprite Atlantis in the Western Cape and Shoprite Jabulani in Soweto, Gauteng.
