Sirino Set For Chiefs Return Against Royal Am

Kaizer Chiefs could welcome back Gaston Sirino for their Betway Premiership clash with Royal AM today at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. Sirino, who has two goals and four assists for Chiefs this season, was an unused substitute in their 2-1 win over Richards Bay on Wednesday due to injury. Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi confirmed that Sirino was recovering from an injury, which also kept him out of the friendly tournament during the international break. Nabi had planned to bring Sirino on during the Richards Bay match, but the red card shown to Reeve Frosler changed those plans.

Sirinos potential return will be a boost for Chiefs, especially as they face Royal AM, who have struggled this season. Chiefs will also be without Frosler for this match due to his red card, as well as central defender Inacio Miguel, who is serving a suspension from a red card in the Carling Knockout.

Chiefs' recent victory against Richards Bay was highlighted by a strong performance from captain Yusuf Maart, who set up goals for Wandile Duba and Ashley Du Preez. Goalkeeper Brandon Peterson, midfielder Sibongseni Mthethwa, and striker Du Preez also impressed in their first starts of the season. It remains to be seen whether Nabi will stick with the trio for this match.

Chiefs are the favourites to claim another win against a Royal AM side that has struggled for form, winning just once in all competitions this season. Royal AM will also be without forward Motebang Sera, who was sent off in their 3-2 loss to Golden Arrows on Tuesday.

Fans will be hoping for more excitement than in last seasons two goalless draws between these two sides.
