Political analyst Kenneth Mokgatlhe says mass resignations from the Economic Freedom Fighters EFF are expected to continue following the departure of the partys Deputy President Floyd Shivambu.
Earlier this week, former Public Protector and EFF MP Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane announced her resignation from the party citing a lack of numbers in Parliament and wanting to spend more time with her family.
Yesterday, another EFF MP, Fana Mokoena, announced his resignation, giving unclear reasons.
Mokgatlhe says their resignations are not shocking.
We are expecting more of them to leave after the National Peoples Assembly, that is the elective conference of the EFF, that will be held in December. But it has been said that many people are not happy within the EFF.
