All-time leading Premier League goal scorer Alan Shearer believes that Chelsea will have to exercise patience regarding the progress of Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson.
The 23-year-old was on the receiving end of much criticism during the 2023/24 season after he struggled to make a first impression in London.
While the club has been linked with strikers such as Victor Osimhen, Ivan Toney and Benjamin Sesko, Shearer believes that Jackson has the ability to come good in the Premier League.
They are going to have to be really patient with him because he is very raw. There is no doubt about his ability there. Its going to take time for that to come out in full, Shearer said on the Rest is Football Podcast, as per Chelsea Chronicle .
