The Edo State Government has raised the alarm over an alleged plot by the reinstated Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, to break into the States Government House on September 30th.

The Special Adviser to Governor Godwin Obaseki on Media Projects, Crusoe Osagie, said Shaibus plan is to enforce his alleged reinstatement.

Osagie noted that Shaibu's planned action comes despite a stay of execution appeal having been filed, challenging Justice J. K. Omotosho's ruling to reinstate the embattled deputy governor.

In a statement issued on Saturday night, Osagie urged the Inspector General of Police to prevent Shaibu from executing such a plan.

According to Osagie: "We want to draw the attention of the Inspector General of Police to the intelligence we have gathered regarding a planned move by the erstwhile Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu, to forcefully enter the Edo State Government House to purportedly enforce the ruling of Justice J. K. Omotosho.
