Several Road Closures For National Prayer Event At Fnb Stadium

Gauteng Traffic Police are notifying road users of the closure of Soweto Highway, Golden Highway, Nasrec Road and Booysens Road from this afternoon until at least tomorrow after the prayer session.

The closures are due to the national prayer event to be held on Sunday at the FNB Stadium in Soweto, hosted by the Motsepe Foundation.

Gauteng Traffic Police spokesperson Obed Sibasa has advised motorists to use alternative roads.

The following intersections are affected. Soweto Highway and N1 south on ramp, N1 bridge and Mense Road, N1 south off ramp and Rand Show Road. Alternative routes to avoid FNB Stadium precent the N1-M1 Main Reef Road and Chris Hani. Drop off and pick up points at Show Ground-Nasrec or Rand Show opposite the stadium.
