Sifiso Mkhwanazi has been sentenced to six life terms in prison by the High Court in Johannesburg .

In March, 21-year-old Mkhwanazi was found guilty of killing six women alleged to have been sex workers, between April and October of 2022.

The bodies of the six women were discovered at Mkhwanazis fathers panel-beating business in Johannesburg in October 2022.

Gauteng NPA spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwana, "Sifiso Mkhwanazi has been sentenced to six life imprisonment terms as well as 190 years that were ordered to run concurrently resulting in an imprisonment term of life. The court declared him a dangerous criminal as per submissions made by the NPA and therefore ordered that he should return to court after serving 30 years of his sentence for the court to hold an inquiry to determine whether or not he is still a danger to society."
