Sekhukhune United footballer Shaune Mogaila has been granted bail of R20 000 at the Rabie Ridge Regional Court in Tembisa east of Johannesburg.
The well-known soccer player faces culpable homicide charges after a vehicle he is alleged to have been driving crashed into another car.
A nine-year-old child died in the crash.
Ekurhuleni Metro Police spokesperson Constable Thabiso Makgatho earlier said alcohol, dagga and a powder believed to be drugs was found in the soccer players car.
He fled the scene and later handed himself over to the police when he received the call for Sekhukhune United the team that he plays for. And they called that they are bringing him to Rabie Ridge Police Station to come hand himself over.
