Claremont police are urgently appealing for the publics assistance in locating a retired teacher who has been missing since Saturday, Cape town Etc reports.
Dhananjaya Naidoo 66 was last seen leaving his home for a walk in Newlands Forest , a popular nature area in Cape Town.
Reports indicate that Naidoo's vehicle was discovered on Sunday in the Newlands Forest parking area, but there has been no sign of him since. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing blue jeans, a blue checked shirt, and a grey cap.
Naidoo, a retired education official from the Western Cape Education Department, is a respected figure in the education sector. He began his career as a mathematics teacher in Durban before moving to Cape Town, where he held a position at Rylands High School. He later served as the principal of Sophumelela Secondary School and eventually became a circuit manager.
Though retired for two years, Naidoo remains dedicated to the field of education, working as a mentor for school principals, a role in which he has been deeply involved since stepping down from his administrative position.
