Seabourn has announced adjustments to certain Seabourn Encore 2025 itineraries sailing from Asia to Europe.
Normally, the ship would sail west through the Indian Ocean, and north through the Red Sea and the Suez Canal to reach Europe. However, due to conflict in the Middle East, Encore will sail East through the Panama Canal from Asia to access the Atlantic, and then Europe.
The detour adds almost 20,000 nautical miles (37000 km) to the itineraries.
'Changes were made to the original planned itineraries to prioritise the safety of guests and to avoid the Red Sea,' said Seabourn's statement.
Three months' worth of itineraries, from March 2025 to May 2025 have been adjusted.
