Cecil Kekana, who is accused of killing his scientist wife Dorcas Didi Lekganyane, is expected to appear in the Alexandra Magistrates Court, north of Johannesburg this morning.
Kekana is alleged to have slit the 32-year-old scientists throat before stabbing her multiple times at their home in Bramley in July this year.
The incident allegedly took place while their three-year-old daughter was downstairs with their nanny.
Kekana, was found next to Lekganyanes lifeless body, after allegedly trying to commit suicide.
Lekganyane was listed in June among the Mail Guardians 200 Young South Africans 2024 in the Climate Change and Environment category.
