Saws Warns Of Disruptive Rains In The Eastern Cape
The South African Weather Service SAWS has issued a warning for disruptive rains in the Eastern Cape today.
There has been a significant increase in rainfall between midnight and this morning.
Some places are expected to record between 40 and 70 millimetres of rain.
However, forecaster Kevin Ingram says the eastern part of Port Alfred is expected to get more significant rainfall than the rest of the province.
Ingram says, Forty to 70 mm might be possible in places, though I dont expect that many places will get that amount of rainfall and the places that might get that amount of rainfall will primarily be to the north of East London north to south. So we do have a level four warning in those areas where high amounts of rainfalls are expected.
