Samoan batsman Darius Visser on Tuesday broke the men's T20I record for most runs scored in an over (39).

Visser's heroics came in a T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Region Qualifier against Vanuatu in Apia.

Visser, who is 28 and resides in Sydney, smashed six sixes in a 39-run over from Nalin Nipiko. There were also three no balls bowled in the over.

Visser eventually scored 132 from 62 balls as Samoa posted 174. This was also the highest percentage (75.86%) of runs scored by a batsman in a team's innings.

Visser later also bagged a wicket (1 for 29) as Samoa restricted Vanuatu to 164 for 9 to win the game by 10 runs.
