Sa Delegation Arrives In New York To Brief G20 Member States

The International Relations Departments Director-General Zane Dangors delegation has arrived in New York.

The aim of the delegations visit is to brief member states of the G20 for which South Africa is the current president.

Dangor serves as South Africas G20 Sherpa. His responsibilities include taking the discussions and agreements to the final summit of the G20 Heads of State and Government during Pretorias year-long presidency.

Dangor is expected to meet with Deputy Secretary- General Amina Mohammed during his visit.

The meeting with member states is billed as an opportunity to better understand the priorities of this years G20 engagements under a theme that places key UN objectives at the core of its work, Solidarity, Equality and Sustainability.
