rustic exclusiveuse camp opens in mara

The Maasai Mara region of Kenya has welcomed a rustic exclusive-use camp overlooking the Mara River with easy access to prime game viewing areas such as the Musiara Marsh, the short grass plains, Rhino Ridge and the Mara Triangle.

Operated by Bush Beyond, the new Tangulia Ndogo camp is adjacent to Tangulia Mara. With capacity for up to eight guests, it is ideal for small groups or families. The name Tangulia, meaning to lead, reflects commitment to authentic and immersive experiences.

Guiding visitors in the Mara over the past 25 years, owners Jackson Looseyia and Dominic Nchoe bring extensive knowledge of Maasai culture, customs and the local fauna and flora to guests. The camp is Maasai-owned and operated, offering a personalised experience with a dedicated team of guides, chefs, waiters and room attendants.

Three tented units under thatched roofs include two en-suite double tents for one to two guests and one family tent with two en-suite rooms and a central sitting area suitable for four to five guests. Each tent features a front veranda overlooking the Mara River and a salt lick. The camp has paved walkways without steps to ensure easy access to all areas.

The dedicated main mess has an open kitchen inviting interactive dining experiences with seating areas providing relaxation spots and a spacious front deck for game viewing and stargazing.
