Nigeria Premier Football League side, Rivers United, have reportedly rejected a lucrative deal to sell their key player, Andy Okpe, to SuperSport United, Soccernet.ng reports.
According to reports circulating in the Nigerian media, the Pretoria-based club tabled a fee in the region of $150,000 for the Nigerian attacker.
Nigerian journalist, known as "Mike the Pundit reported that this deal was rejected by Rivers United , who are looking to strengthen their squad for the next season.
Further reports revealed that Okpe, who scored seven goals in his 33 domestic league appearances for Rivers United, has submitted a transfer request to leave the club.
More than one clubs are reportedly interested in signing in the Nigerian attacker, with each willing to offer a fee in the region of $100,000.
