Tokai Neighbourhood Crime Watch TNCW is urging residents to remain vigilant following three separate incidents in the Lower Tokai Forest over the past two weeks.

  1. 16 November 2024 A female resident was attacked by a 20-year-old male while walking in the forest. The suspect fled the scene.

  2. 18 November 2024 A male forest user was robbed at knife-point while changing his shoes.

  3. 19 November 2024 An altercation between two dog walkers escalated into physical violence.

TNCW has issued important safety tips for forestgoers as the summer season approaches. These include walking in groups, sticking to peak hours, using well-marked paths, and avoiding displaying valuables.
