Hall of Fame linebacker and Baltimore Ravens legend Ray Lewis could soon take on a new role in football - this time on the sidelines.
ESPN's Adam Schefter posted on X Wednesday that Lewis is a candidate for the head coaching position at Florida Atlantic University, following the dismissal of Tom Herman.
Herman was let go on Monday after FAU struggled to a 2-8 record this season, following a 4-8 finish in 2023.
Schefter also highlighted that Lewis' potential candidacy is influenced by the success of Deion Sanders at Colorado.
Sanders has led Colorado to an impressive 8-2 record in his second season and has them in contention for the Big 12 Championship and possibly the College Football Playoff.
