Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad have officially submitted a bid to Atalanta for Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman, Soccernet.ng reports.
Lookman had an impressive campaign with Atalanta last season, registering 17 goals and ten assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.
His brilliance was key in Atalantas fourth-place finish the the Italian Serie A and their UEFA Europa League triumph, as Lookman bagged a hattrick in the final against Bayer Leverkusen.
Following his impressive performances, Lookman has emerged as a transfer target for top clubs in Europe like Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Manchester United.
However, the former Everton man is not only wanted in Europe. Recall that Soccernet.ng reported that Saudi-based side Al Ittihad were interested in Lookman. Now, in a new development according to Rudy Galetti , Al Ittihad have opened negotiations.
