The Democratic Alliance (DA) has confirmed that their partys Federal Executive terminated Renaldo Gouws membership, Cape {town} Etc reports.
Gouws was formally informed of this decision, and as a result, he forfeited his seat in Parliament, where he represented the party, according to a press statement issued by the DA .
This stemmed from an investigation conducted by the DAs Federal Legal Commission (FLC) into the allegations that were made against Gouws.
The FLC found that Gouws was guilty of contravening several sections of the DAs constitution.
Gouws was previously suspended in June after a 2010 video surfaced on social media, where he made racist comments using the K-word, just days after he was sworn in as a DA MP.
