It sounds like a pretty stressful situation for many customers. Eskom's deadline to upgrade prepaid meters to the KRN2 mode is today, and those who miss it will face some serious consequences, including having to pay R12,000 to replace their meters.
It's good to know that Eskom has extended the deadline for "zero buyers" those who haven't purchased electricity recently until tomorrow. However, they still need to buy electricity tokens today to activate the KRN2 mode.
