Former Scotland captain Barry Ferguson has defended Cyriel Dessers and warned the Scottish giants against letting him go.
The Nigeria international has been heavily criticized by both pundits and club fans despite having been one of Rangers best players last season - scoring 22 goals for the team.
Unattached coach Ferguson, who had two successful spells with Rangers as a midfielder, has backed Dessers.
