Johannesburg Water says the bulk-supplier Rand Water has successfully completed its maintenance work at the Zwartkopjes pump station, with pumping now operating at full capacity.
On Friday, Rand Water started a massive infrastructure maintenance project that has resulted in an 86 hour water cut for many areas in the city.

Johannesburg Water spokesperson Nombuso Shabalala says systems supplied from Zwartkopjes are recovering and replenishing, which means areas including Parktown, Berea, Forrest Hill, Orlando East will begin to see water returning to their taps.
She says maintenance work at the Eikenhof pump station is ongoing and completion is expected tomorrow.
