Ramaphosa Welcomes Microsofts Plan To Invest Billions In Sa

President Cyril Ramaphosa has welcomed software giant Microsoft plan to invest R5,4 billion in South Africa.

The worlds biggest software maker made the announcement on Thursday, at the Microsoft South Africa head office in Johannesburg.

President Ramaphosa delivered the keynote address during the event.

Microsoft South Africas Investment Launch aims to expand its cloud and AI infrastructure in South Africa to meet the growing demand for Azure services in the SADC region.

Ramaphosa has also commended Microsoft's plans to train one million South Africans in AI skills, machine learning and cybersecurity.
