Ramaphosa Rejects Afriforum Meeting: 'they Peddled Lies About Sa'

President Cyril Ramaphosa will not meet with AfriForum and Solidarity, accusing them of deliberately spreading misinformation about South Africa, particularly regarding the Expropriation Act , presidency spokesperson Vincent Magwenya confirmed.

AfriForum, an organisation advocating for Afrikaner interests , recently turned down an offer from US President Donald Trump to relocate to the United States for refugee protection .

According to IOL , the group had previously written to US authorities, alleging that land was being forcibly seized in South Africa. In their letter, they also urged Trump to take action against ANC politicians.

Their claims allegedly influenced Trumps decision to cut financial aid to the country , a move widely condemned by the government and citizens.

Magwenya dismissed AfriForum's request to meet with Ramaphosa, questioning their sudden interest after their past international campaign against South Africa.
