Ramaphosa Honours 2024 Paris Olympic And Paralympic Medalists
President Cyril Ramaphosa has honored athletes who successfully represented South Africa at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in a special ceremony at the Union Buildings in Pretoria. The event celebrated the excellence demonstrated by South Africa's medalists, as well as the organizational efforts of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee SASCOC in preparing Team South Africa for the Games.
In his address, Ramaphosa expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the athletes for their unwavering commitment. "This is a moment of great pride for our nation. Its a moment to express our gratitude and we thank you for giving us that opportunity as Olympians because you have represented our nation with such great distinction and commitment on the international stage," he said. "When we saw you, our hearts were filled with absolute joy as you filled our hearts with joy and pride. Today, we are celebrating the spirit of Africa and the power of sport to unite us."
