President Cyril Ramaphosa has met with South African-born American entrepreneur Elon Musk in New York.
This follows Ramphosas engagement with US business people and investors in an effort to develop South Africas economy.
Hes in the US to attend the UN General Assembly which he is expected to address today.
The meeting with Musk was long in the making and was held behind closed doors with the media barred.
President Ramaphosa later described the meeting with Musk as positive, with further discussion with the social media platform X owner likely to emerge in the future.
