Former Super Eagles and Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has hit out at Enzo Fernandez for singing racist chants with his Argentina teammates.
Fernandez was widely criticised after videos of him and his Argentina teammates could be seen singing a derogatory song about French players with African heritage.
The incident happened after Argentinas 2024 Copa America win over Colombia.
Speaking on his podcast, Mikel said he doesnt condone such behaviour.
The whole thing, it is very sensitive, and it always is when something like this happens. Everybody has their opinion when it comes to these issues. One thing I will say about it is that I dont condone such acts as a person or a player, Mikel Obi said.
